IMPLEMENTATION OF VR AND AR TECHNOLOGIES IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS: A MANAGERIAL ASPECT

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the features of the implementation of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies in the educational process, in particular from the point of view of managerial aspects. The article is aimed at: identifying current trends in the use of VR and AR in education, analyzing administrative and legal barriers to the integration of these technologies in Ukraine, assessing the role of public administration in ensuring the digitalization of the educational process, and developing recommendations for improving the regulatory framework and introducing innovative technologies into educational institutions. The results of the study show that the introduction of VR and AR technologies into the educational process opens up significant prospects for the modernization of education, ensuring interactivity, deeper student engagement and improving the quality of knowledge. At the international level, these technologies are widely used in various fields, such as medicine, engineering and architecture, where they contribute to the development of practical skills in safe conditions. In Ukraine, despite existing initiatives, their integration is complicated by the lack of infrastructure, limited funding, insufficient qualifications of teachers and lack of legislative support. Overcoming these barriers requires systemic changes, in particular, the development of digital infrastructure, the implementation of training programs for teachers, as well as the stimulation of public-private partnerships. Effective public governance and coordination of actions between the state, educational institutions and the private sector are key factors for the successful implementation of VR and AR into the educational process, which will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian education in the context of digitalization.
