INDIVIDUAL MEASURES TO PREVENT VIOLENT CRIMES COMMITTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

Abstract

The article reveals the individual measures to prevent violent crimes committing by law enforcement officers. It emphasizes that individual preventive measures among law enforcement officers, like other law enforcement practices, cannot be carried out unsystematically, spontaneously, but require the presence of scientifically substantiated tactics. It is recommended that when using tactics as a set of means and techniques to achieve a strategic goal, as a guide to action and the art of their practical implementation, adhere to certain requirements (principles) of its practical implementation. First of all, this is subordination to the main strategic goal, i.e. the prevention of violent crimes, as well as dependence on the conditions of its implementation and use of a normative, standardized and creative nature. It is noted that the tactics of individual criminological prevention should accumulate and be provided with the practical implementation of the achievements of science and advanced practice. It is summarized that the tactics of applying measures of individual preventive influence within the framework of professional law enforcement activities require taking into account the general ethical principles of this activity and imposes certain ethical requirements to its subjects, which will contribute to the practical implementation of the constitutional rights and freedoms of the law enforcement officer as a citizen.The important preventive role of educational work in law enforcement agencies is emphasized, which is considered as a continuous process that involves the purposeful activities of the management of all levels of management, the active participation of public organizations, and scientific and pedagogical personnel in promoting the acquisition by each employee of standards of behavior determined by the state and the performance of assigned official tasks.
