Abstract

The aim of the article is to examine the United States of America's modern administrative and legal approaches to climate change adaptation. In recent years, climate change has become an evident problem not only for scientists, but also for all of humanity. Accordingly, there is an increasing need to find ways to help countries overcome this climate crisis. In this regard, there is a need to study the experience of the leading countries in the modern world in adapting to environmental changes, ways of overcoming various natural disasters, establishing stable supply chains and ensuring the population's resilience to new challenges of nature. The United States of America carries out fruitful legal and scientific work. Studies conducted by American scientists examine the U.S. system of natural resource management, environmental federalism, domestic environmental policy, environmental justice, and the nation's strategies for adapting to climate change, so the experience has important theoretical and practical significance for Ukrainian legal thought. Considering the current administrative and legal approaches of the United States of America to climate change adaptation, it is possible to clearly trace the concern of the American federal government about the climate changes taking place in the country. The actions of the federal government are aimed at creating new programs that should ensure the country's life under the conditions of the occurrence of various climatic disasters and help to overcome them as soon as possible. In addition, the federal institutions of the United States of America direct their efforts to the development of adaptation plans and ensuring the population's resilience to further deterioration of climatic conditions, as well as ensuring a certain level of environmental justice. It means that the issue of climate change prevention is not even considered anymore, the variable is an inevitable reality for which the American country is preparing.
