The article is dedicated to the analysis of the structure and operation principle of certain cylindrical pin-type locking devices with a horizontal slot, aimed at creating new technologies and devices for covert entry into residential and non-residential premises and other objects. The study of the structural features and operating principles of additional protection elements of locking devices is necessary for the development of special technical devices for decoding and nondestructive (with maintaining functionality) unlocking of locking devices for conducting operational and investigative measures involving the inspection of publicly inaccessible places, residences, or other properties. Locking device manufacturers are constantly improving the protection elements of their products, starting from the use of slots with different configurations, changing the number and placement of encoding elements, to the introduction of additional protection elements to prevent unauthorized unlocking of locking devices. The article presents the results of research into the structural features of certain cylindrical pintype locking devices with a horizontal slot, and conclusions are drawn regarding the possibility of creating new technologies and special technical devices for covert entry into residential and nonresidential premises and other objects.
